Worry can’t do anything. Most of the things we worry about never even happen. It rather slanders every promise of God. Worry also believes God won’t get it right. Worry implies that we don’t quite trust that God is big enough, powerful enough, or loving enough to take care of what’s happening in our lives. There is nothing that wastes the body like worry, and one who has any faith in God should be ashamed to worry about anything whatsoever. One of the enemy’s biggest tricks is making us think that things are not okay even though God has already assured us that they are.
When I’m worried, it’s usually because I’m trying to do everything myself. When I’m at peace, it’s usually because I remember that God is in control. The perfect cure for worry is to trust in God. Not once does the Bible say “Worry about it” “Stress over it” or “figure it out.” But over and over it clearly says “Trust God.” Learn to give God your worries. God can do everything even the impossible. Choose faith over worry. When you turn your worry into worship, God will turn your battles into blessings.
Don’t worry about anything, instead pray about everything. If we prayed as much as we worried we’d have a lot less to worry about. God is never blind to our tears, never deaf to our prayers, and never silent to our pains. He sees, he hears and he will deliver. God says don’t worry about your future. He is the author of your story and he’s already written the final chapter.
Dear God, help us to stop worrying about the future and the things we cannot control. Help us to see more of you in every area of our lives. Please continue showing us the way and directing our paths.
