We know the value of your presence.

Some people complain they don’t feel God’s presence in their lives. The truth is, God manifests himself every day; we just fail to recognize him. We don’t always have to look for God in the sky. Sometimes we just need to search his presence within our hearts. God promises to never leave us so when we can’t feel his presence we must remember the difference between feelings and truth. Never let the presence of a storm lead you to doubt his presence.

God’s present is his presence. His greatest gift is himself. Spending time with God puts everything else in perspective. I cannot imagine a greater motivation to pray than that God enjoys having me in his presence. He enjoys my company.

When you take time with God and listen to his voice, he renews your strength and enables you to handle life. When you spend time with God and open your heart, mind and spirit, he will unfold dreams and images before you. He wants you to see what will happen on the inside before you see it happen on the outside.

For every hectic day, God is your quiet rest. For every painful experience, he is your healing touch. For every disappointment, he is your hope. For every turbulent storm, he is your calming peace. For every hurtful action, he is your forgiving love.

Nothing can take the place of a daily devotional life with Christ. Your quiet time, your prayer time, the time you spend in the word, is absolutely essential for a happy Christian life. You cannot possibly be a happy, dynamic, and powerful Christian apart from a daily walk with Christ.

Lord we enjoy your presence. Thank you for being near. You give us rest and we do it to know you more. We also do it just because we love you that much.
